A life spent cooking, a heart close to the sea.
Christos Klonaris
Our own “Passas”.
En Plo’s story begins with Christos Klonaris, our much-loved “Passas”. Cooking was his passion from an early age, and he made it his life’s work. Working as a cook aboard ships took him around the world. The people he met and the flavours he discovered along the way shaped the way he cooked and welcomed his guests.
He and his wife, Manti, built a life together, sharing dreams, hard work and happy times. After years abroad, they decided to return home and open a place of their own, bringing together their love of good food and of making people feel welcome.
In 2000, they opened En Plo, a small place beside the sea in Diapori. With hard work and care, it grew into a favourite gathering place for friends, families and visitors. Passas gave it its character: his love of cooking, and his determination to give every guest his best. En Plo moved to its present home in 2010, with the same sea view and the same warm welcome.
En Plo carries the story of a life devoted to cooking and to bringing people together. What began as Christos’s dream lives on in the care we take, the welcome we offer and the food we share. Thank you for being part of that story.
